Five time UCL winner, Luka Modric will move to the Saudi Pro League at the end of the season. SPORT reports that he has fallen out of the rotation due to Madrid’s wealth of midfield stars such as Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga, Aurélien Tchouaméni and Federico Valverde, and Modric is no longer needed at Real Madrid as they wave in their future stars.
His departure is more guaranteed for the summer transfer window, as Real Madrid have confirmed they will not be doing business in January due to player injuries. Real Madrid, General Director, José Ángel Sánchez was quoted saying “We have no open negotiations with the Saudi Arabian League for a possible departure in January nor any intention to sell him at this time.” This means any other additional links to players should also be ruled out for Real Madrid.
Modric was also on the end of previous interest from Saudi Arabia which was confirmed by his agent, speaking to publication “Sooot” “This summer there was interest. The player has several offers, from a club the capital and another club . Modric is currently thinking about Real Madrid, but the idea of him moving to the Saudi Pro League is possible if the offer is suitable.”
